‘Charmed’ to Bring a Whole New Coven of Witches Back To TV

Every fan of the supernatural that has partaken in The WB lineup of the early 90’s and 2000’s, knew of “The Charmed Ones.” These good natured witches consisted of the Halliwell sister trio: Piper (Holly Marie Combs), Prue (Shannen Doherty) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano). The show, “Charmed” was deep in dark tones, but maintained a delightful charisma that was carried out through the nature of the show.

The Halliwell sisters battled Warlocks, demons and evil forces that threatened to demolish their prized city of San Francisco, CA. Eventually one of the sisters would perish and be replaced by a half sister, Paige (Rose McGowan). Now the coveted series is currently in development and coming to a theatre near you.

For those hoping that the series will start off where it left off (ending in 2006), you are in for a bit of a disappointment. Reportedly, the storyline will be set before the coveted Halliwell sisters. The storyline will puncture the wounds of 70’s, presumably touching on the Halliwell bloodline. There has also been rumours of the storyline circling around a completely new set of witches fighting evil in New England.

Currently all plots, characters and cast members are currently being established, but there are some things we do know. The new script will be helmed by Jessica O’Toole, Amy Rardin and  Jennie Snyder. This trio also worked on ‘Jane the Virgin’ which is also on the CW network.

The original “Charmed” was an Aaron Spelling original drama that aired on the CW for eight seasons.
Terror Time will post updates as we receive them, which we hope will be soon! We are elated with this news!
