Shudder Takes Viewers “Beyond the Walls” This Fall with Its’ First Original Series
Cable cutting keeps getting easier. With the plethora of streaming apps and independent television providers, it’s become fairly simple to tailor your viewing experience. AMC’s launch of Shudder, their horror-based streaming application, has announced their very first original series, “Beyond the Walls.”
AMC announced Wednesday that the series will premier exclusively on Shudder later this year. In an article published by Variety, Linda Pan, GM of Shudder, said:
“We could not be more proud to present “Beyond the Walls” to our members this fall. We plan to continue to premiere new high-quality films and series on Shudder and “Beyond the Walls” is an excellent example of thrilling genre programming made exclusively available to the Shudder community.”
The series is being described as a supernatural thriller about a woman who inherits a house, only to discover that there is a parallel world hiding behind the house’s walls. It stars Veerle Baetens and Geraldine Chaplin and was created by Herve Hadmar and Marc Herpoux.
Shudder premiered last summer on an extended beta-test. The streaming service, which functions on the web as well as on mobile and various connected devices, costs $4.99 per month and grants users access to a library of over 400 titles.
While information on the exclusive series is still rather limited, based on the originals AMC has brought to their television network, it’s sure to be something to watch out for.
