HorrorHound Weekend

What is a convention really?  It is a place for people to commiserate with those that identify with each other on a common ground.  There is an underlying reason that fans flock to these events:

1. We LOVE horror.

2.  We feel like a part of something bigger than ourselves.

3.  We are free.  Free to be who we were meant to be without judgment.

It is a family really. You may only see these people once or twice a year, but when you do, no time has passed – you are with family.

I remember the first time I went to this convention, and I got to meet Russell Streiner and George Kosana from NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.  I was in awe of these men, and I was shaking as I literally did my best Johnny impression and I was NOT laughed out of the room. They were so gracious to some strange girl that watched this movie every 10/31 without fail.

Events like this are home for so many that feel so out of place. CB will be representing Tom Holland’s Terror Time this weekend at the Horrorhound Convention (HHW) in Indianapolis! I am always excited to be a part of HHW, but this weekend is extra special because Tom Holland has taken over! CHILD’S PLAY and FRIGHT NIGHT are two of the biggest events this weekend; it is a reunion not to be missed!  If you are in the area, I encourage you to stop in and see what HHW is all about.

HHW is CB’s home away from home, and you will not be disappointed. Come out, watch some great films, attend the panels, check out the amazing vendors … there are such sights for you all to see. There are not only celebrity photo-ops, there are also contests, a pajama party and concerts.  This convention has it all!

The Horrorhound convention runs from Friday, September 9th through Sunday, September 11th.  Tickets are still available at the door and online. As always, I cannot wait to see the familiar faces, but I would like to see some new ones! You can look forward to CB’s coverage of the whole weekend come Monday!
