Filmmaker, Jeff Frumess has sent us stills and the trailer for his upcoming feature length film, ROMEO’S DISTRESS. Jeff has previously directed numerous short films and a documentary on horror punk band, Blitzkid. Jeff along with Nick Bohun (Associate Producer, Sound, Score, Gaffer) spent 15 months pouring their blood, sweat, and tears into this little no-budget film. Partially filmed in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, it was shot almost entirely in Monochrome by the two of them: Jeff on camera and Nick running sound (along with everything else sandwiched in-between). “Romeo’s Distress” is a weird, quirky, genre-bending, piece of “no-budget” film making. It is a Shakespearean, Gothic, Horror-Thriller that tells a story of a boy named James, his unrequited love for a girl named Jane, and her father’s sadistic yet dutiful response to it all. If you like Monochrome, Shakespeare, John Waters, Edgar Allan Poe, Teen aged Angst, Gothic Cemeteries, Surrealism, Cheesecake, Grandmas, Ukuleles, Carrots, Melons, And Grave Diggers then you will surely dig Romeo! ROMEO’S DISTRESS is now on the film festival circuit before it’s release later this year.
