Children of the 90’s rejoice! Coca-Cola has taken the first steps towards reviving everyone’s favorite lunchbox treat Hi-C Ecto Cooler. The massive soda company filed a trademark patent for the still popular yet discontinued drink in September, which was approved this month.

With the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot on the way it makes all the sense in the world to bring this awesome drink back to the masses. Even before the movie was announced fans had been petitioning for their beloved drink to make a comeback for years. Though many hardcore fans are on the fence about the new film to say the least, they can at least be thankful that its production brought back the mighty Ecto Cooler. Hi-C Ecto Cooler was introduced in 1987 as a tie-in to the ‘Real Ghostbusters’ cartoon series but lasted way longer than that show. It was discontinued in 2001 and the flavor was renamed Shoutin’ Orange Tangergreen, before being taken off the shelves all together in 2007.
