Nick Antosca, creator of SyFy’s creepypasta-based series Channel Zero, is currently in pre-production on a new horror series for Netflix, based on Todd Grimson’s cult novel Brand New Cherry Flavor: A Novel of the Occult.

Deadline reports Antosca has already cast several high-profile actors for the series – including Rosa Salazar (Birdbox, Alita: Battle Angel), Catherine Keener (Get Out) and Eric Lange (The Man in the High Castle). Antosca serves as Executive Producer on the series, which will consist of eight episodes. Channel Zero’s Season 3 writer-director Arkasha Stephenson is onboard to direct the premiere chapter.

Set in 1990s Los Angeles, Brand New Cherry Favor stars Salazar as Lisa Nova, an aspiring film director who embarks on a mind-altering journey of supernatural revenge – which takes her from the streets of Beverly Hills to the forests of Brazil.

No word yet as to when the series is slated to premiere, but we’ll update you as soon as we find out…
