Something’s coming. Something hungry for blood…..
In the world of television programming that is easily accessible at our finger tips, it is horror shows that I feel needs more exposure. Which is why, I was so excited to see that Netflix brought on Stranger Things into their world of lineup and from what I have seen so far, horror fans will not be disappointed.
The storyline surrounds a young boy that mysteriously vanishes and the terrifying circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
The show is set in the 80’s, an era where horror became prolific in its own right in Hawkins, Indiana. The show starts off innocently enough with the four young boys enjoying the simple things like riding bikes after dark. Something that is quite horrifying to young adults in present day.
When one of them disappears, the elements of aliens, supernatural beings, science fiction, and elements derived from Spielberg films are interwoven with the quest of finding the missing lad.
The show was created by the Duffer brothers, Matt and Ross (Hidden, Wayward Pines) and was originally titled Montauk. The two brothers have a unique approach to horror and we cannot wait to view the show in its entirety for a full review.
The show will be available to stream on July 15th, 2016. Happy viewing folks.
